Southwest Books of the Year

Hear about some of the books selected as "Southwest Books of the Year for 2009," when Bill Buckmaster discusses the top picks with three of the judges.


The results are in for the 33rd Annual Southwest Books of the Year sponsored by The Pima County Library System. This year there are a dozen top picks. Three of the 5 judges will discuss what makes these books special from the several hundred that were entered in the competition. Judges who appeared on "Arizona Illustrated" are Writer Bill Broyles, Bruce Dinges of the Arizona Historical Society and Librarian Patricia Etter from ASU.
