Admiral Michael G. Mullen Town Hall

Streamed Live on Friday, Oct. 1, 3-4 p.m.

University of Arizona President Robert N. Shelton and the UA Office of Federal Relations are inviting the campus community to a Town Hall with Adm. Michael G. Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the principal military adviser to the president, the secretary of defense, the National Security Council and the Homeland Security Council.

His trip to Tucson will include visits to defense contractor Raytheon and with Tucson Regional Economic Opportunities to address local business leaders. The UA Town Hall is the only stop that is free and open to the public.

Admiral Michael G. Mullen's remarks will focus on the range of U.S. national security challenges including how the Southern Arizona community can engage with returning service members and veterans. A question and answer period will begin immediately following Mullen's prepared remarks.

RSVPs are required for this free event by Wednesday, Sept. 29, and can be made either online http://uamullen.eventbrite.com/ or 520-621-3108. Seating will be unassigned, but limited, so early RSVP's are encouraged.

The Admiral Michael G. Mullen Town Hall will be streamed live at http://ondemand.azpm.org/live/ and will also be broadcast live on World from 3-4 p.m. on broadcast channel 27.3, Comcast 203, Cox 83.
