Dr. David M. Finkelstein, Vice President and Director of China Studies for the Center for Naval Analyses says an undervalued Chinese yuan has weakened U-S exports while making Chinese goods attractive to U-S consumers. The imbalance has weakened U-S economic growth and threatens American manufacturing jobs at a time when the U-S economy is struggling.
