Decision Nears on Convention Center Hotel?

Tucson Mayor Bob Walkup says a final vote on the proposed downtown Tucson Convention Center hotel could come at the Tucson City Council meeting on October 26.

Tucson Mayor Bob Walkup discusses the timetable for a vote on the proposed downtown Tucson Convention Center hotel. The mayor also talks about the council's relationship to the Rio Nuevo Board and who will have the final say on the hotel. Mayor Walkup also articulates the importance of the vote on two ballot measures before Tucson voters, one dealing with changing the city's 1929 charter, the other proposing a half-cent sales tax to pay for core services like police and fire.
