Poll: Arizonans' Opinions of President Vary Based on Party

Independents have an unfavorable opinion of the president, Republicans have high favorability ratings for him. by Brandon Mejia

A new poll shows independents and Democrats in Arizona have an unfavorable view of President Donald Trump, while Republicans in the state are overwhelmingly supportive of him.

The results were broken down by party lines.

Republicans:
Favorable: 80%
Unfavorable: 13%
No Opinion: 7%

Democrats:
Favorable: 5%
Unfavorable: 91%
No Opinion: 4%

Independents:
Favorable: 28%
Unfavorable: 62%
No Opinion: 10%

Independents represent the second largest voting block in Arizona.

The poll was conducted over two days in January through landlines and cell phones.

The margin of error is plus or minus 3.5%.
