Poetry is the latest trend in Southern Arizona high schools, and students showed their skills at the UA Poetry Center on March 3, 2011. The Poetry Center played host to the regional finals for Poetry Out Loud, a national recitation and performance contest. The teens put their hearts and souls into memorization and delivery of well-known poems in hopes to move onto the State Finals on March 16 in Phoenix. The students performing at the regional competition had already won competitions in the classroom and school-wide levels.
