Scott Simon reads sections from his book, “Baby we were Meant for Each Other,” a personal story about the joy of adopting two baby girls from China. Simon is NPR’s Peabody Award winning correspondent and has received numerous honors for his reporting. He has reported in from all 50 states, has covered presidential campaigns, eight wars, and is a frequent guest host on the CBS television program Nightwatch. Aside from his busy work schedule Simon enjoys spending time with his with and daughters, enjoys Mexican cooking, ballet, book collecting and is a dye hard fan of the Chicago Cubs, White Sox, Bulls, and Cavaliers.
