When Diba and Shafi Kushkaki fled their home in Kabul, Afghanistan, they had to leave everything behind. But they came to their new home in the Sonoran Desert with rich cultural and culinary traditions. Now they share those traditions with Tucson diners daily, at Sultan Palace Afghan Restaurant on East University Boulevard.
