OSIRIS-REx Arrival at Bennu

Watch live coverage of the OSIRIS-Rex arriving at its intended target, Monday beginning at 9:15 a.m. on PBS 6 Plus.

NASA’s OSIRIS-REx spacecraft will arrive at asteroid Bennu after more than two years traveling through space. Once it reaches its destination, the spacecraft will spend about a year and a half surveying this never-before-visited asteroid and preparing to collect a sample of surface material for return to Earth.

Join members of the mission team for a LIVE NASA broadcast from the control room at Lockheed Martin celebrating the spacecraft’s arrival at Bennu. Brush up on your mission knowledge with pre-show programming beginning at 9:15 a.m.

Watch Live on PBS 6 Plus (Comcast 396, Cox 82, Over-the-Air 6.3, Over-the-air 27.3), with pre-show programming beginning at 9:15 a.m.

See how it all began! Arizona Public Media's original production, OSIRIS REx: Countdown to Launch, follows a multi-generational team of scientists and engineers as they struggle to design, construct, and deliver on time the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft and its components to NASA in anticipation of its September 2016 launch from Cape Canaveral.
