The last month of this year's monsoon is underway and so far, it’s one of the driest on record. University of Arizona environmental researchers Mike Crimmins and Gary Woodard are trying to answer why some Tucson neighborhoods measure higher amounts of rainfall, while other areas stay bone dry.

Mike Crimmins and Gary Woodard spoke with Tim Swindle, director of the University of Arizona Lunar and Planetary Laboratory.
