This one-hour Masterpiece special reviews the action-packed storylines of Downton’Abbey’s first two seasons and provides bonus interviews with writer Julian Fellowes and Downton cast members. Actors talk about their characters and storylines, reveal how they feel about filming crucial scenes for their characters, and provide insight into the romance and conflict among their characters.

The special includes footage from all the key locations, including the historic Ealing Studios in London where the “downstairs” scenes were shot; the fabulous Highclere Castle in Hampshire, UK, site of most of the “upstairs” scenes; and a spot near Ipswich in Suffolk, UK, where the dramatic Battle of the Somme scenes were filmed.
