A look at student leaders in Tucson High School’s Mexican American Studies Program fighting to keep their ethnic studies classes. Sunday at 6 p.m. on PBS-HD 6.

Tucson High School’s Mexican American Studies Program has become a model of educational success, with 100 percent of enrolled students graduating from high school and 85 percent going on to college. Precious Knowledge filmmakers spent a year in the classroom documenting the program and looking at how it affected the students; many of whom became engaged, informed and active in their communities.
