Gasoline Price Declines Continue

10 straight weeks: Tucson at $3.48; state average $3.57

Gasoline prices locally and nationally continued their decline, hitting a 10th straight week of lower per-gallon prices, AAA' Daily Fuel Gauge Report said Monday.

The statewide average in Arizona was $3.57 for a gallon of regular unleaded. That's down 7 cents from one week ago and 22 cents from one month ago.

Tucson continued to record the lowest prices in Arizona, at $3.48. That's down 7 cents from a week ago and 18 cents from a month ago.

Phoenix gasoline was $3.53 a gallon Monday, 8 cents below last week's price. Flagstaff remained the most expensive place to purchase gasoline in the state, with average price of $3.74 a gallon, although that, too, was 7 cents lower than a week earlier.

The national average on Monday was $3.51, down 4 cents from a week earlier and 19 cents from a month ago.
