Blueprint America

This multi-platform initiative examines infrastructure issues throughout America and the world. Premieres, Wednesday, May 20th at 8 p.m. on KUAT 6 and HD.

Over the next year, programming under the BLUEPRINT AMERICA umbrella will include:

• Individual reports produced in partnership with THE NEWSHOUR WITH JIM LEHRER, NOW ON PBS, Worldfocus, Exposé on BILL MOYERS JOURNAL, local PBS stations across the country and public radio • Original primetime documentaries produced for national broadcast on PBS • Educational and community outreach to integrate study and debate on this subject into schools and community groups • An interactive Web site that serves as a platform for debate, an aggregator of print and video content and “virtual meetinghouse” for citizens to share stories, videos and information concerning infrastructure in their cities and towns.

Ray Suarez, Senior Correspondent with The NewsHour is a featured correspondent in "Blueprint America: Road to the Future,” and will be in Tucson, May 26th at 7:30 p.m. at UA Crowder Hall.
