For the past 15 years, Jacqueline Lee Mok has served several positions at the University of Arizona. Dr. Mok started as the Dean of the College of Fine Arts and through the years, moved up to become the University of Arizona’s Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost. Dr. Mok recently left the U of A for a position at Johns Hopkins University. During her last few months of working for the university, she also served as the Chief of Staff in the Office of the President.
Dr. Mok recaps her years here at the University of Arizona, and reflects on one of her most recent awards, The Chang-Lin Tien education leadership award. This award recognizes two Asian-Americans annually on their institutional leadership skills. “I am grateful that my colleagues here thought I was worthy of nomination for that award”, says Mok.
Dr. Mok plans to take her skills, friendships, and the lessons she’s learned here at the University of Arizona and apply them in her new role as Vice President and Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Board of Trustees at Johns Hopkins University.
