Cherry Picking Apple Blossom Time

Enjoy a unique collaboration between artist David Greenberger and Milwaukee music legend Paul Cebar. Thursday at 8 p.m. on PBS 6.

Taped at the Pabst Theatre in Milwaukee, this performance is a series of spoken word stories Greenberger developed from his conversations with elderly residents of Milwaukee, combined with music performed by the Paul Cebar Stage Ensemble.

Through this unique presentation of David's conversations with seniors, he hopes to inspire us to think about aging as being a continually updated present, to listen to our elders not as shadows of their pasts, but vividly alive even if in smaller orbits. When combined with the mood of Paul Cebar's completely original music, the emotional range of the material moves from laughter to chills and tears.
