Nearly two years and millions of dollars later, the campaigning comes to an end as Americans go to the polls on Tuesday. We’ll hear from voters in several battleground states before and after the election.
There’ll be fun facts about the candidates, and overseas reaction to the election outcome. Voters will also decide the make-up of the 111th Congress, as well as governors and state legislatures across the country. NPR will have LIVE special coverage of the results from 5 p.m. - 1 a.m. (Arizona time) on the air and online.
NPR will have at least 120 editors, producers, writers and technical staff working on the LIVE broadcast and the on-line coverage. We will be covering 28 locations around the country, including both presidential campaign headquarters. We'll have LIVE results on our interactive election map and LIVE blogging on VOXpolitics during the night.
You can also track local election results at AZPM's Vote2008 page.
