The Metropolitan Opera will present a live radio broadcast of Guiseppe Verdi's opera "Aida" from New York City on Saturday, January 25 at 11AM on Classical 90.5 and streaming live at azpm.org/classical.
Soprano Angel Blue makes her long-awaited Met role debut as the Ethiopian princess torn between love and country opposite tenor Piotr Beczała as the soldier Radamès with Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin at the podium for Michael Mayer’s new staging that brings audiences into the towering pyramids and gilded tombs of ancient Egypt.
A live cinema transmission of "Aida" as part of The Met's Live in HD series can also be seen on January 25 at the following Tucson-area theaters:
