A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief

PBS presents an international television event hosted by actor George Clooney, Haitian native Wyclef Jean and CNN's Anderson Cooper. Friday, January 22nd at 7 p.m. on PBS-HD.

PBS presents the global telethon HOPE FOR HAITI NOW to air commercial-free across PBS, ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, BET, the CW, HBO, MTV, VH1 and CMT. All donations will directly benefit Oxfam America, Partners in Health, Red Cross, UNICEF and Wyclef's Yele Haiti Foundation.

Haiti was devastated and thousands of its citizens killed when an earthquake hit the Caribbean nation last week. All donations from the telethon will benefit several charities providing aid, including the International Red Cross, UNICEF, Oxfam America, Partners in Health and Wyclef's Yele Haiti Foundation.

Live broadcasts are scheduled from London, Los Angeles, New York City and Haiti. In New York, Bruce Springsteen will perform, along with Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Shakira and Sting. In Los Angeles, Taylor Swift will perform, and Keith Urban, Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow plan a collaboration. Also performing from Los Angeles are Justin Timberlake, Dave Matthews, John Legend and Stevie Wonder. London is where Jay-Z will perform, along with Bono, The Edge and Rihanna in a special joint performance. Coldplay is also scheduled to perform from London, and CNN’s Cooper will broadcast live from Haiti.
