Father Brown: The Shadow of the Scaffold

A convicted female killer tries to prove her innocence with Father Brown's help. Firday at 10 p.m. on PBS 6.

Violet Fernsley is convicted of killing her pig farmer husband whose body has never been found. From her account, he was a violent man but his family - his bedridden mother Ethel and his two brothers Wilf and Archie - are determined that she hang for her crime. Father Brown tries to get Violet to confess but she is adamant that she did not do it. She is given a temporary reprieve from the gallows when she claims she is pregnant. Violet begs Father Brown to prove her innocence. The pregnancy test gives Father Brown three days to find the real killer. Can he find the culprit before it's too late?
