Originally from New York City where he learned to play the piano as a little boy, Bruce Stoller arrived in Arizona decades ago after riding his bicycle across the country. He fell in love with the desert and has remained here ever since, living in Bisbee before moving to Tucson. In addition to the piano, he has expanded his musical repertoire to include flutes. He discovered these wind instruments can be made with native materials: the stalks of agaves and yuccas. Stoller has made hundreds of these flutes over the years, and he continues to experiment with this method.
