At the ANTIQUES ROADSHOW event in Spokane, Washington, this owner proudly displays an heirloom desk and chair used at the United States House of Representatives from 1857 to 1873. Rarely found together - with the desks being far scarcer than the chairs - the matched pair prompts appraiser Brian Witherell of Witherell’s to estimate the set’s combined value at $40,000.
