PHOENIX — Fire danger warnings blanket much of the southern half of Arizona into Wednesday evening due to strong winds, dry fuels and low humidity.
The Phoenix and Tucson metros are included in the "red flag" warning areas, along with Globe, Casa Grande and Nogales, and the National Weather Service says any fires that develop have the potential to spread rapidly and grow erratically.
Meanwhile, gusty winds are expected Wednesday across much of northern Arizona.
