  • Founded in 1972, the Tucson Orchid Society is celebrating 50 years of helping local horticulturists celebrate these exotic and colorful flowers. Tony Paniagua talks with enthusiast Bob Johnson about his fascination with orchids, and how the hobby thrives even in Southern Arizona.

  • And, highlighting Tucson’s dedication to astronomy, True Concord Voices & Orchestra is presenting the Southwest premiere of composer Timothy Takash’s “Helios”, an a cappella tribute to the solar system. Joining them for a spoken word introduction is multi-faceted performer John de Lancie, best known for playing the omnipotent alien being “Q” on Star Trek. Mark talks with John de Lancie and True Concord’s managing director Welz Kauffman about the event.
