- More than a year ago, tens of thousands of citizens were evacuated from Afghanistan after U.S. troops withdrew, and Taliban forces took control. Among them were more than two dozen women from a special Afghan platoon that worked alongside the U.S. military. But, as KJZZ’s Alisa Reznick reports, getting out of Afghanistan was only the beginning.

- A conversation with Yamiche Alcindor, the moderator of “Washington Week” on PBS and a journalist who has been closely involved with presidential politics since 2018. Alcindor visited Tucson this week to receive the 2022 Zenger Award for Press Freedom from the UA School of Journalism.

Bob Elliot, Co-Founder of the African American Museum of Southern Arizona, was a three time academic and athletic All-American at the University of Arizona. He led the Arizona Men's Basketball team to a Western Athletic Conference championship and the NCAA tournament twice.
