New technology is helping scientists develop a gentler, less painful way to use electricity to stimulate the heart. University of Arizona biomedical engineer Philipp Gutruf talks about a pacemaker that surrounds the heart with electrical impulses to get the essential muscle back in rhythm.

Philipp Gutruf spoke with Tim Swindle, director of the University of Arizona Space Institute.
