Hurricane Hilary may be about to drench California, but most of Pima County will see only moderate rainfall this weekend. The National Weather Service in Tucson expects the outer edge of the storm will pass over the Tucson area Saturday and Sunday:

"We'll see some isolated areas of up to an inch but mostly we'll see a quarter to half inch of rain throughout this weekend," said NWS forecaster Kevin Strongman on Friday.

The western side of Pima County, including the Tohono O'odham Nation, will get more rain.

Hilary reached category four status Friday. The eye of the storm is expected to hit Baja California on Sunday, traveling up through Southern and Central California Monday, and possibly fizzling out over Nevada sometime Tuesday.
