The Mexican Sunflower Tree (Tithonia Fruticosa) is a giant in this family, that can get to several feet tall and wide. It attracts birds, bees and other wildlife to your Sonoran Desert landscape but can be nipped by very cold temperatures.
Thousands of native or drought-tolerant plants can be grown in the Sonoran Desert, providing colorful and intriguing options for the garden. Some plants can produce amazing color or food for pollinators, nesting sites for birds and other wildlife, and visual and textural appeal to homeowners.
