Santa Cruz River Cleanup

Picking up trash and sowing wildflowers with The Sonoran Institute

The Sonoran Institute hosted an event to clean up 2,000 pounds of trash from the Santa Cruz River. Hundreds of volunteers turned up and greatly exceeded that goal. After removing the refuse, they spread wildflower seeds. A strong sense of community and love for the river was in abundance.
