The Democratic Party opened its new headquarters in Tucson, Arizona, featuring noteworthy guest speakers. Top Arizona Democrats were in Tucson on Friday afternoon to open the new Pima County Coordinated campaign center.
The office, located on Campbell Avenue, will serve as a hub for Democratic campaigns in the area.
Tucson Mayor, Regina Romero, told the standing-room-only crowd that even though Maricopa County has more people, Pima County is important in this election year.
“The path to the White House moves through Tucson. Arizona is an important and pivotal state, just like it was in 2022 and 2020 and 2018. We have been important and that is why here in Tucson, Arizona we are going to help win Arizona,” Romero pledged.
Speakers at the new HQ included Senator Mark Kelly, former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, congressional candidate Kirsten Engel, and U-S Senate candidate Ruben Gallego.
However, these noteworthy guests were not the only highlight, as Pro-Palestinian protestors repeatedly interrupted the event proceedings.

The protests were recorded and posted on social media. The crowd chanted "Four more years" to drown the protestors out.
Most of the speakers at the event ignored the protestors but Gallego and Kelly both spoke about war in Gaza.
"And let's remember as Democrats that we have a big tent and we all want a great solution and a solution for the Middle East and I'm sorry that we're not there but you have a party that is actually looking for something," Gallego said.
All of the protestors were escorted from the room by Democratic staffers.
