Numerous events each year help startups learn about running successful businesses.

The Friday Business Report with AZPM's Zac Ziegler and Inside Tucson Business Editor David Rupkalvis focuses on how the area supports startups.

Public and private groups routinely work to help entrepreneurs get new businesses off the ground successfully. Networking and mentorship opportunities are just two of the ways the community that works to support startups and new business ideas. These often come in the form of meet-up events and pitch competitions modeled after the TV show Shark Tank. And these efforts are showing success in building up Tucson's high tech sector.
