Architect Michael Becherer, AIA takes Mark on a tour of some of the buildings located on Broadway’s historic “Sunshine Mile”. These office and retail spaces will be celebrated with public tours on Saturday, October 5th from 2 - 5 p.m. The "Inside the Sunshine Mile Tour" is part of the AIA’s Architecture Week, in collaboration with the Tucson Historic Preservation Foundation’s Modernism Week.

Film Fest Tucson 2019 runs October 10th through the 12th, featuring an international roster of shorts and feature length films. The guest of honor, director Peter Bogdanovich, will present his classic film The Last Picture Show on Saturday, Oct. 12th. Mark talks with Film Fest director Herb Stratford about some of the films, and you can find a complete schedule and watch film trailers here.

And, when Lisa Bates was thinking about what to do with her life, someone told her to reflect on her passion. She did, and in 1998, she founded the Tucson Wildlife Center. Today, the center is contacted about more than 3,000 wild animals in need of medical care each year, all while depending on donations and a mostly volunteer staff.
