The City of Tucson’s Housing and Community Development Department will host two public meetings on housing affordability this week.
The department wants to hear from community members and housing developers as it drafts a Housing Affordability Strategy to present to the mayor and city council next month.
The first of the two meetings will be held virtually Tuesday afternoon at 4:30. The second will be held in person at the Sentinel Building, just west of Downtown, Wednesday afternoon at 4:30. Attendees must register ahead of time, and the department asks they only attend one.
The department said it will consider measures to promote climate resiliency and social equity for the plan.
