Mental illness has long been stigmatized and difficult to speak about, but it’s come a long way in being understood. In large part because of parents and others directly affected by serious mental illness who pushed for advocacy and new legislation in a system not prepared to provide care to their loved ones. In this story we meet three such parents whose legacy is a more understanding, just and caring mental health system and world.
